Fall/Winter Bulldog Voice Staff

Our Program

The Bulldog Voice Newspaper is one of the after-school clubs that is offered for students in 3rd - 5th grades at Bridgeway Elementary School.

Each club session often has returning students, but also new ones, making the content throughout the year diverse and creative.  Students get to interview, write, draw, take photographs and videos... making a newspaper that represents their school and themselves.

The goal is to help students discover their own voice through writing, taking photos, designing and drawing!  We all have something great to share.  We all have a voice!

We Are Family

The Bulldog Voice has anywhere from 8 - 14 student reporters at a time. This is ideal because students really get to know one another, and learn to work as a team.  The students become a newspaper family!

Newspaper students brainstorm story ideas together.  Then for each story, two or three students are assigned to work together... one might interview, another one take photos and someone else might record videos, and they all work together when writing the story.  We also have reporters who work on comics, take surveys of staff, and students, write book/movie reviews and so much more... and they all encourage one another and work together!
